Street Smart High crash scene

How AANT’s ‘Free Pass card’ works:

Getting home safety can be a big issue for teenagers, and they often put themselves in risky situations because they don’t know who to call or they’re afraid they’ll get in trouble.

To help, AANT has developed Free Pass Cards, which is a 'contract' between a beginner driver and a designated driver (their parents, for example).

The idea is for teenagers to sit down and talk about what to do if they're in a risky situation and worried about getting home safely, like if their planned designated driver's been drinking.

The designated driver can sign the card, which gives the teenager a free ride home, no questions asked.

How to use the Free Pass card:
  1. Download the Free Pass Card (PDF, 401KB)
  2. Chat to your family and friends
  3. Sign the card and keep it handy, just in case
