Dollar has a great range of rental extras that can be added to your booking to enhance your journey.

Baby and Child Seats

Under Australian law, all children under seven (7) years of age must use an approved child restraint appropriate for their age and size. Children aged seven must be secured in a restraint if one is available in the vehicle.

All infant and child seats are subject to availability at time of booking.

Infant Child Seat (0 - 1 year)

Rear facing: for infants that weigh up to 9kgs or 20 pounds.

Child Seat (1-4 years)

Forward facing: For children weighing 8-18kgs or 20-40 pounds, and up to 101cms/40inches in height.

Booster Seat (4 - 7 years)

Forward facing: All children between the ages of 4 and up to 7 years must travel in a forward-facing child seat or a booster seat. Booster seats must be fitted in the rear seats only, in seating positions equipped with lap and shoulder belts.

Refuelling

Pre-Paid Fuel

At select locations, you can choose to pre-purchase a full tank of fuel and return the vehicle low on fuel for a hassle free, fast return. There are no refunds for unused fuel.

Refuelling Service Charge

If you do not pre-purchase fuel and you choose to return the fuel tank only partially full, we will top it up and the cost of the fuel and our refuelling service charge will be added to your rental. Please be advised that fuel charges may vary by location.

Toll Roads

If you’ll be using toll roads during your journey, you may want to add Dollar Toll Cover to your booking.

Our Toll Cover includes all toll charges under one flat daily fee. This allows unlimited toll usage during your rental.

You can add this option at any time during your rental and the daily flat fee will appear on your rental agreement/invoice.

Toll prices vary in each state, so our Toll Cover pricing is calculated based on the state where you collect your vehicle.

If you do not purchase Toll Cover and you drive on toll roads during your rental, you will be on-charged for the tolls you use, and you’ll also incur an administration fee.

Terms & Conditions

•    Corporate Discount Programme must be entered at the time of reservation.
•    Offer available only for bookings made between 1st March 2025 and 30th April 2025, for rentals commencing between 01st March 2025 and 31st May 2025, unless sold out. 
•    Maximum discount of 18% off the time and kilometre charges (base rate) per rental in Australia and New Zealand.
•    Minimum 1 day rental applies.  Rental days are based on a twenty-four (24) hour period. A fifty-nine (59) minute grace period is allowed for returns. Returns outside the grace period will be charged up to an extra day rental fee. 
•    Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion, special offer or coupon.  
•    Offer is not available on pre-paid (pay now) rental rates. 
•    Offer is not applicable on contract, tours, government, or insurance replacement rentals.
•    Thrifty standard driver and credit qualifications in effect at time and place of rental apply.
•    Vehicles may be reserved by car group only and not by particular model or colour. Fleet is subject to change without notice. 
•    Terms and conditions (including rates) are subject to change without notice.
