Toll Pass

Choose the Hertz Toll Day Pass to simplify your rental experience.

Managing toll payments can be difficult and time consuming. We have simplified how we process road tolls so you can focus on getting to your destination on time.

The Hertz Toll Day Pass is an opt-in system that covers all toll charges under one flat daily amount which allows unlimited toll usage during your rental period. You can choose this option at any time during your rental and the daily flat fee will appear on your rental agreement/invoice.

Due to varying toll prices in different States, the Hertz Toll Day Pass will be calculated based on the State where you collect your car.

Rates for passenger vehicles are:

    -      NSW: $18.70 per rental day
    -      VIC: $17.00 per rental day
    -      QLD: $13.20 per rental day
    -      ACT: $12.10 per rental day
    -      WA $11.00 per rental Day
    -      SA: $12.10 per rental day

Rates for Commercial vehicles are:

    -      All States: $25.85 per rental day

All prices are inclusive of GST. Heavy vehicles incur a higher variable toll charge per rental day due to higher toll prices.

Suitable for longer term rentals, there is an alternative option that records all toll roads you’ve driven on and you will be invoiced for the actual toll amounts plus a per rental processing fee shortly after your rental.

Should you choose to make your own arrangements with the Tolling Authority direct this must be done prior to the using the toll road. The 24-72hr window advised by Tolling Authorities are not applicable to a rental car with Hertz.

Fuel Purchase Options

Ever thought how much easier it would be if you could just hand back your hire car with an empty tank, without incurring any extra fuel charges at the counter?

So did we. Which is why we came up with the Hertz Flexible Fuel Purchase Option.

Here's how it works
1. Buy a full tank at the start (FPO)
When you pick up your hire car, choose to include a full tank of fuel in advance. If you return the car and the tank isn’t full, you won’t face a refuelling charge to top it back up. Away you go with nothing more to pay. No last-minute trip to the petrol station. No fuel top-up charges.

2. Buy a half tank at the start
It may be more convinient to pay for a half tank of fuel at the start of the rental and save time on refuelling by returning the vehicle with only half a tank of fuel. Like the full tank option if you rent the car and the tank is half full you won't be charged a refuelling charge to top it back up.

Please note that we do not provide a refund for unused fuel.

By using this website, you accept the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement, you must not use this website. We may at any time, at our sole discretion, update and revise this Agreement by posting an amended Agreement on this website; any changes that we make to this Agreement will be effective immediately upon posting. As used in this Agreement, the terms “we” and “us” mean The Hertz Corporation and the companies in which The Hertz Corporation directly or indirectly owns a majority interest, commonly called “subsidiaries.”  We operate vehicle and construction and industrial equipment rental businesses and, on a more limited scale, retail vehicle sales and claims administration businesses.  Our “licensees” are independent companies in the vehicle and construction and industrial equipment rental businesses, and sometimes in the retail vehicle sales business, that are licensed to operate such businesses using a trade name and trademarks and service marks owned by us, which often incorporate the “Hertz” mark.  Because the licensees are independent of us, they are not our subsidiaries and thus are not included in the terms “we” and “us.”  Our “affiliates” at any time are the companies (other than us) that at the time control us or are under common control with us; the terms “we” and “us” do not include our affiliates.
