The Darwin Comedy Festival promises to be an unforgettable experience, with performances from some of the biggest names in comedy. Headlining the festival is the iconic Celeste Barber, who will make her Darwin debut with her latest show, Backup Dancer. Known for her sharp wit and unique comedic style, Celeste is sure to be a crowd favourite.

Joining her are other heavyweights in the comedy world, including Nazeem Hussain, who will bring his bold and hilarious new show You Paid For This. Fans of razor-sharp humour can also look forward to Reuben Kaye’s genre-defying cabaret performance, The Party’s Over, while the endlessly creative Sammy J offers a blend of song and storytelling in The Kangaroo Effect.

Something for Everyone

The Festival isn’t just for adults; it also features family-friendly programming. The award-winning circus-comedy show Children Are Stinky promises to captivate audiences of all ages with its high-energy antics. Meanwhile, teens can get in on the action through the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Class Clowns, offering workshops and a chance to showcase their comedic skills on stage.

DEC has also partnered with local talents from Darwin’s Top Floor Comedy, as well as Sarah Reuben and Brent Watkinson, to elevate homegrown performers. These acts, announced in the new year, will take the stage alongside high-profile comedians, highlighting the vibrant and diverse comedy scene in the Territory.
