Appointed 4/12/2012. Born and bred in the Territory, David Loy brings a wealth of business acumen and connections from Alice Springs to Darwin. He is an expert in property development, valuations, property management and auction services. In 1984 David stepped into his father’s real estate business, Asreal, in Alice Springs and led the company to a merger with LJ Hooker to form the town’s dominant real estate organisation. With the Alice Springs branch operating successfully, David then turned his sights on Darwin and established his next LJ Hooker agency there in 1996. Across the Territory, his team provides a high level of customer service.
Appointed 10/12/2013. Grant Fenton has a strong background in business administration, marketing, communications and events management. Grant moved from Victoria to the Northern Territory in 2008 after accepting a communications and marketing manager position at the City of Darwin. From there, he went to work as Senior Marketing Manager for TIO. He is currently Chief Executive Officer of the YMCA in the Top End and a key player in the NT Community Services sector. Grant is a passionate supporter of charities, including Cancer Council Victoria, the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation and Camp Quality.
Appointed 22/9/1999. Doug Phillips has held senior management positions in the accounting, motor industry, tourism and hospitality sectors. Doug arrived in Darwin in June 1976 post-Cyclone Tracy and worked in the NT Department of Business.
Appointed 14/7/2007. Graeme Buckley is a well-regarded senior commercial lawyer. As founding partner of Morgan Buckley, he commenced his legal career in Adelaide before moving to the Territory in 1982. In 1985, Graeme established his own practice in Alice Springs and established a strong presence in the community through his work with Rotary and the Outback Motorcycle Club. In 1991, specialising in commercial disputes, Graeme moved to Morgan Buckley, Darwin, as Commercial Partner.
Appointed 20/7/2011. Suzanne Morgan currently works as a marketing consultant in Darwin, specialising in strategic business planning and marketing. She has extensive experience in international tourism with over 20 years in Australian inbound travel, including postings in South Africa and America. Suzanne has also worked with Tourism NT as Manager, International Marketing.
Appointed 14/7/2014. Trevor Cox has been involved in the tourism industry for over 20 years and is currently General Manager, Tourism Top End. His experience includes a 4-year stint as Director Southern Great Barrier Reef with Tourism & Events Queensland, business ownership and representation on various tourism boards and committees, including the Tourism Central Australia Board.
Appointed 14/7/2014. Chief Executive Officer of the Territory’s Real Estate Institute, Quentin Kilian has worked in a range of organisations both at the operational and board level. He has held senior positions with US-based satellite operator PanAmSat and the Northern Territory government. Quentin has qualifications in migration law and is a Fellow with the Australian Institute of Management.
Appointed 13/10/2014. Mark Olivetta is a finance industry expert. As managing partner of Morgans Financial he provides holistic solutions for wealth creation, including superannuation, stockbroking and financial planning. Mark is regularly invited by ABC Radio to talk about financial matters. Having grown up in north Queensland, Mark now lives in the Territory.
Appointed 7/6/2016. Cassandra Emmett grew up in Canberra before moving to Katherine for 6 years, practising in all areas of law as well as travelling, camping and fishing. In 2003 she moved to Darwin to become a partner with Morgan Buckley and CridlandsMB, switching her legal focus to commercial and property law. Cassandra returned to Canberra in 2011 but the lure of the NT was too great and she came back HWL Ebsworth. She has also been an ACT Real Estate Institute board member.
